Who we are

This policy covers chestnutheightsplumbing.com, the website of Chestnut Heights Plumbing (“we”, “us”), a plumbing company based in Elyria, Ohio. It applies to the information you give us through this website. When you call us or we visit your home or business, we treat the details you share with the same care.

What we collect

What you type into a form

The service request form asks for your name and phone number and, if you choose to give them, your email address, street address, ZIP code, the service you need, how urgent it is, the best time to reach you, a preferred date and a description of the problem. The short forms on the home page and the emergency page ask for fewer details, and the property walkthrough form on the commercial page also asks for the company or property name, the type of property and the number of units or restrooms. We receive only what you enter.

Technical details sent with a form

When you send a form, the website also records the page it was sent from, your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, the approximate country and city that our hosting provider derives from the IP address, and a reference number for the request. We use these to keep out spam and abuse and to trace a request that went missing. Each form also carries a hidden anti-spam field and a timestamp; neither identifies you.

Email, photos and phone calls

If you email us, for example with photos of a leak or a water heater label, or if you call us, we receive your message, photos or call details in the usual way and keep them with your request.

What we do not collect

This website uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, no tracking pixels, no third-party scripts and no social media plugins, and it does not build a profile of your visits. The site itself sets no cookies. Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary security cookie to protect the site from automated attacks; it is not used for advertising or tracking. The interactive tools on this site (the water heater sizing guide, the sewer cost-factor explainer, the symptom troubleshooter and the ZIP code checker) run entirely in your browser and send nothing to us.

How we use it

• To call, text or email you back about your request, ask questions and arrange a visit.
• To diagnose the problem, prepare a quote, do the work you ask for and keep a record of it.
• To keep the website and its forms secure and working.
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not add you to mailing lists, and we do not use your information for advertising.

Who processes it for us

• Website hosting: Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this website and runs the form handler on its network, so form submissions pass through its systems.
• Lead management: form submissions are delivered to the customer-request system we use to receive, track and answer service requests. If a submission cannot be delivered right away, it is held in a secure queue and retried for up to 60 days, then deleted.
• Email: if you email us, or we email you, our email provider processes those messages.

These providers handle the information on our behalf, to provide their services to us. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the safety of a person or property.

How long we keep it

We keep request and job information for as long as we need it to respond, schedule and complete the work, keep a service history for your property and meet our legal and tax obligations. Technical details sent with a form are kept only as long as they are useful for security and troubleshooting. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, as described below.

Your choices and requests

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use it for targeted advertising, and we do not give it to data brokers. You do not need to do anything to opt out. If you have questions about this, contact us by phone or email and we will answer them.

Security

The website is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to request information is limited to the people who need it to answer your request and do the work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send payment card numbers, passwords or door and lockbox codes through the forms. Give access codes to us by phone when we arrange a visit.

Children

This website is meant for adults arranging plumbing service. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
